Apex Legends fans can look forward to the next collectible event coming soon – and it’s also bringing back a popular game mode for a limited time.
Respawn Entertainment and EA confirmed in a press release today that the warrior collection event in Apex Legends should start in the current month of March. The kick-off is scheduled for March 29th, after which the limited-time event will continue until April 12th, 2022.
First and foremost, you can look forward to the comeback of the popular “Control” mode, in which two teams, each consisting of nine players, compete against each other. Also on board are a new Arena map, cosmetic items, a Crypto Heirloom, and more.
Officially, the content planned for the event is given as follows:
- “Control” returns: The 9v9 Control mode returns for two weeks, this time with Caustic’s filtering in Kings Canyon.
- Caustics filtering: This has been repurposed into a three-point battleground for control of Kings Canyon. The battlefield now features additional cover, ziplines, skydive launchers, and a hover tank, among others, to improve the balance and flow of combat.
- New arena map “Unloading Point”: The new map sits high above the Malta skyline at the fully automated Hammond production tower. It is codenamed “Unloading Point” and arena fighters play fierce games here at night under the smog-covered sky.
- Event Facilities: The event introduces a new set of 24 themed limited-time cosmetic items, including skins like Synthetic Slayer for Ash, Dirty Tricks for Octane, Jewel of Olympus for Horizon, Combat Survivalist for Lifeline, and more.
- Reward Tracker: Each week of the event has its own reward line. Players can earn points and update their challenges every day. The Warrior Collection Event also offers a stretch challenge with four unique plaques if players complete them during the event.
