Another shift hits the 2022 release calendar. This time the release of Sons of the Forest will be pushed back. The follow-up to survival hit The Forest was originally scheduled for release in May 2022. This date was apparently from Endnight Games too ambitious

Over the last few weeks it has become clear to us that the May 2022 release date for Sons of the Forest was too ambitious. In order to realize our vision of the next step in survival games, we have decided to push the release date to October 2022.

Although a postponement is rarely cause for celebration, the developers’ justification at least includes the interest of future players, namely to get a mature and technically flawless game. It remains to be hoped that October 2022 will be exactly the same.
