Game news Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin: PC version still average from Square Enix?
The Nioh and Dark Souls themed sequel to the Final Fantasy saga has been available for consoles and PC since March 18th. If the game has already been criticized for its rather outdated tech, it seems that this new PC port is struggling to win over the community.
Bugs, clipping, aliasing: A PC port under current standards?
The first opinions on the different versions of Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy origin are starting to fall from players and the least we can say is that the PC version is taking their place. If Square Enix has always struggled to seduce users of the platform, the community feedback for this latest port is anything but flattering.
The first big problem would be the “Souls Burst”, a kind of finish move which, once launched, significantly reduces the number of frames per second and makes the fights particularly unreadable. However, this is not the only element questioned by the players who find the game visually outdated. If the rendering is considered “pixelated” overall, the community also points the finger at the overall brightness of the title, which is too dark for their taste. Add to this the small display distance, the clear presence of aliasing, clipping and poorly detailed textures.
Square Enix and the PC: a whirlwind relationship

For now, we have to believe that Square Enix is struggling to offer PC ports that can keep its users happy.
This time, Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin benefits from more graphics options and UltraWide compatibility, but still suffers from a lack of technical rigor. on Reddit,
The community is already sharing their tips to run the game in better conditions. For now, Square Enix hasn’t returned to the various issues, but the studio isn’t particularly known for offering rigorous follow-up to its ports.
