Fans of the successful One Piece brand can look forward to another game implementation. One Piece Odyssey is set to be released in 2022. We’ll tell you the first known details here!
Bandai Namco today officially announced One Piece Odyssey, the next installment in the long-running success series. It is an RPG that uses a turn-based combat system. Furthermore, the good piece will have a completely new story and new characters to offer; these are being developed under the guidance of Eiichiro Oda, the inventor of the One-Piece series, so they will remain true to the series in this respect.
The new game release comes in celebration of One Piece’s 25th anniversary. The title aims to be authentic in the canon while also embracing the humor and charm of the anime. The original Japanese voiceover cast is also retained.
What’s the matter? During your new journey in the One-Piece world, the Straw Hats led by Monkey D. Ruff are sucked in by a huge storm at sea. They end up separated from each other and completely destroyed with the Thousand Sunny on a mysterious island. The crew embarks on a new adventurous journey full of wonders in a frenzied nature, powerful enemies and strange encounters with the islanders. With Adio, a completely new character is introduced in the game.
ILCA Inc. is responsible for the development; the release is planned for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2022. While a specific release date has not yet been mentioned, the Xbox One is also not explicitly mentioned.
