Epic is giving away a real Total War hit this week

Epic, Giving, hit, real, Total, War, Week

New week, new gifts: This week the Epic Store is once again stepping up a drawer and giving away Total War: Warhammer. If the hit series has remained hidden from you so far, you can take a look inside for free. In addition, City of Brass is available free of charge for action fans.

But you have to act fast: As always, the campaign only runs for one week. Means: From March 31st to April 7th you have to bag the games. If you do that, you can keep them permanently. An Epic Games account is required.

What is Total War: Warhammer?

What’s the matter? In the first part of the acclaimed real-time strategy series, which was integrated into the equally popular Total War franchise, you choose one of the numerous races of Warhammer and use it to usurp fantasy world domination. Total War also lets you conquer a campaign world map with turn-based strategy in Warhammer, similar to Civilization. However, the battles between armies are fought in real-time tactical battles, pitting hundreds and thousands of warriors against each other.

But of course, not everything is sunshine and roses in Total War: Warhammer either. Our test video shows exactly where the strengths and weaknesses lie:

Suitable for whom? Total War: Warhammer is primarily aimed at players who can gain a lot from both the traditional tabletop brand and the Total War franchise. But we would also recommend Total War to Civ friends. Especially since the Warhammer series is celebrated by many players as the best offshoot of Total War.

As usual, you get the basic version of the game from Epic. But numerous free DLCs are also available there. Additional addons can also be purchased if desired.

Was ist City of Brass?

What’s the matter? At first glance, City of Brass is reminiscent of Prince of Persia, mainly because of the setting in ancient Persia. But Pustekuchen: City of Brass is a roguelite that constantly challenges you to get as far as possible. You control a cunning thief through a legendary city full of riches, but also many deadly dangers. You use your whip and scimitar to vanquish mythical horrors. And traps are just waiting to catch you flat-footed. If you bite into the desert sand, you have to start over afterwards – but fortunately you are allowed to keep the improvements you have made.

The City of Brass trailer shows how this is done:

Suitable for whom? City of Brass is primarily aimed at action fans. If you also like the fairytale oriental landscape à la Aladin, the game might be worth a look for you.

Are you interested in what long-established BioShock developers have been up to? The current Epic gift also gives an answer to this question, which is: City of Brass.
