This week there is a nice gem at GameStar Plus as a free game: Pankapu is a 2D platformer that shines with great attention to detail and scores above all with its narrative story and beautiful soundtrack. You must save nothing less than a traumatized child named Djaha’rell.
Djaha’rell once experienced terrible things that turned all dreams into nightmares. You take on the role of Pankapu, a little dream warrior created to face this nightmare invasion.
When dream and reality blur
For this you enter the dreamlike world of Omnia, in which you master tough fights, puzzles and one or the other skill test. The whole game is told in the form of a fable that is read to a child, where you get to know both perspectives: the story of Pankapu, but also the tragic life story of Djaha’rell.
You can switch between three classes in the dream world at any time, improve your weapons, unlock skills and find hidden treasures. Meanwhile, you also listen to the beautiful soundtrack composed by Ganaé and Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana).
