Today the developers of Heart Machine celebrated a very important anniversary for them, namely the six-year existence of Hyper Light Drifter. During these six long years, the development studio’s teams have worked tirelessly to bring to life an adventure that is just as compelling as the previous one. As part of the celebrations around the universe of their first title, the developers have announced the arrival of a new work!

In six years, Heart Machine Studio hasn’t twiddled its thumbs, quite the opposite! The teams had put the universe asideHyperlight drifter to focus on a whole new franchise that will be created by sun ash. A stellar odyssey that, accompanied by Rei, made us travel to distant lands, up there in the stars. Behind its swirling atmosphere from Shadow of the Colossus, Solar Ash knew how to shine thanks to its unrivaled atmosphere and beautifully mastered and choreographed ride.
However, the studio teams haven’t forgotten about their first creation. Solar Ash was just an incidentally very formative aside before the return of the frenetic universeHyperlight drifter. Indeed, Heart Machine has learned a lot from its experience with Solar Ash and it shows at first glance what we could have from Hyper Light Breaker. To mark the occasion, an announcement trailer has been released (which is available at the top of the article) along with some screenshots.

In addition to the animation video published by Heart Machine Studio, the game’s Steam page was also made available to give us the first details of the expected title Early Access for Spring 2023for now without further details. To mark the change with Hyper Light Drifter, Hyper Light Breaker switches to 3D to take us through the immense Overgrowth, a gigantic world full of biomes that we can explore with others thanks to a cooperation system!
You and your team, if your heart ever tells you, will have plenty to do in this world where many fearsome creatures and bosses. To triumph over all this bestiary, you have access to a whole arsenal of weapons and items and of course to a unparalleled freedom of movement. All of this should keep you busy, but the developers at Heart Machine Studio have improved hyperlightbreaker from all a gallery of colorful charactersevolving in a colony just waiting for one thing: to share their fabulous stories with you.
