Long before becoming the developer of Elden Ring, the Souls saga and Sekiro, FromSoftware already had a few hits under its belt like the Armored Core franchise, or titles like Enchanted Arms and King’s Field which were quite well known outside of Japan. . One of the games from those years was 2009’s Ninja Blade, a hack and slash exclusive to Xbox 360 and PC.
In Ninja Blade, players embody a vision of a modern ninja with a katana, two small swords, and a large sword to fight a variety of enemies. There’s no denying that the game, like most of that style at the time, drank a lot of Devil May Cry and even Ninja Gaiden. The reviews of the time were quite varied, but most highlighted the quality of the cutscenes, but not the gameplay of the title.
Ninja Blade’s Last Sunset on Steam
The developer, now drinking the honey of the success of Elden Ring, is shelving some of its old productions, including Ninja Blade, which without any announcement was removed from the To smoke where it is no longer available for purchase.
No official reason has been reported for the title’s departure from this platform, although this is likely due to the age of the title itself, as it had shown incompatibility issues with more modern hardware and other kinds of graphical drawbacks, which is understandable if it hasn’t been updated since its release in 2009.
