Game of Thrones is really ideal for video games: A dark fantasy world with dragons, intrigue and different factions fighting for supremacy, finally provides enough material for role-playing games, strategy, adventure and more.
In addition to some official adaptations such as the Telltale adventure, there are always ambitious modding projects for existing games: whether fans recreate Westeros in Minecraft, or a Giant mod for Total War develop. Now a total conversion for Mount & Blade 2 has been released, which lets you conquer almost the entire world of Game of Thrones.

All of Westeros and Essos
The project called Realm of Thrones has been in development since 2021, we reported about it last year. The mod has been in Early Access since April 4, 2022 Moddb and Nexusmods available and will therefore be further developed.
Realm of Thrones can already come up with a whole range of impressive features:
- New world map: So far, the map includes all of Westeros and a large part of the continent of Essos, where Daenerys Tagaryen began her campaign. In total there are 17 cities and more than 80 villages in the current version.
- Kingdoms and Cultures from Game of Thrones: The modders have added 18 new kingdoms and adapted existing ones to the scenario.
- Characters from the series and books: There are said to be hundreds of NPCs from Game of Thrones, and we already see Jon Snow, King Joffrey, Tywin Lannister, Barristan Selmy, Robb Stark and other well-known characters in the pictures.
- New armor and weapons: Overall, there should also be several hundred different armors and weapons that look amazingly similar to their role models from the series. The armor of the Night’s Watch, the Dothraki and the Bolton house are new in the release version.
- Hordes of revenants north of the wall: The zombie-like creatures from Game of Thrones are said to be up to mischief in the north.
Within a year, the modders have already made great progress. In the future, however, the mod will be further expanded and improved. The project also relies on support via Patreon.

Mount & Blade 2 – New trailer introduces tons of improvements for multiplayer
