The ensemble cast of “Oppenheimer” is led by Murphy, Matt Damon (“The Martian”) and Emily Blunt (“Jungle Cruise”). Damon plays Lieutenant General Leslie Groves, the military head of the Manhattan Project, while Blunt plays Robert Oppenheimer’s wife, Kitty.
Joining them are Marvel stars Robert Downey Jr. (“Iron Man”) and Florence Pugh (“Black Widow”). Downey Jr. portrays businessman Lewis Strauss, while Pugh portrays physicist Jean Tatlock.
Also present in previously unknown roles are: Oscar winner Rami Malek (“Mr. Robot”), “The Boys” star Jack Quaid, Alden Ehrenreich (“Solo: A Star Wars Story”), Matthias Schweighöfer, “Vikings -Star Gustaf Skarsgård, Kenneth Branagh (“Dunkirk”), Dane DeHaan (“ZeroZeroZero”), Josh Hartnett (“Cash Truck”), Matthew Modine (“Stranger Things”) and Oscar winner Gary Oldman, who has already written for Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy as Commissioner Gordon posed for the camera.
However, Gary Oldman will only be involved in one scene of “Oppenheimer” and only for one day of shooting in the mega-project. The star revealed this to the industry newspaper in advance Deadline.
According to the current status, “Oppenheimer” will be released in German cinemas on July 20, 2023.
