Like many other companies in the industry, Activision has recently released new business figures. In this context, the plans for the future were also examined in more detail – and they not only provide for a new Call of Duty, but apparently also the return of well-known game brands.
In the margins of announcing current business figures, Activision has recently officially confirmed the development of a new Call of Duty for 2020, but not only. The new edition of well-known successful brands, namely in the form of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, proved to be a success. Therefore, the publisher wants to publish further such remasters in the future.
In this context, no specific franchises were initially mentioned, so that it is now eager to speculate which will actually make a comeback on current platforms. The fact is, however, that CFO Dennis Durkin spoke specifically of "several" remastered versions of previous games that are due to be released in 2020.
Skateboard fans are sure to hope for a return of the Tony Hawk series; There was at least speculation in the run-up to the announcement of current business figures.
In addition, Crash Bandicoot is to be taken up again, but according to current reports, this is more of a new implementation for mobile devices. The game had been leaked through Facebook ads and appears to be manifesting itself as an endless runner for iOS and Android.
