Wordl produces more variants than the most prolific viruses, with new ones finding their way to greater popularity every day. The one I caught last is hurdlewhere you have to solve five of the five-letter word puzzles in a row.
One of WordlThe most important unique selling point of is that there is only one of them every day. It was a key to his success that the whole world is playing the same puzzle together (well, except when it goes wrong), and so the experience is shared. The downside is that it only takes up five minutes of your day, and so many are looking for alternative versions to better utilize a commute or tea break. Latest to join mine ever growing list
In this variation, you start with a bog standard Wordl Game using six guesses to identify a five letter word. As always, correct letters are marked in yellow, correct letters in the correct position are marked in green. Except here, if you find the answer, you’ve only cleared the first hurdle. This correct solution then becomes your first guess for the second puzzle.
Depending on the randomly chosen phrase of that day, this can be very helpful or extremely unhelpful. For example, today there is not a single yellow tile in the second round. Sure, it eliminates a few letters, but it’s still a bit harder. You then repeat this pattern four times and create four correct solutions, which are then placed as your first four
That’s right, for the fifth and final section, you’re only given two guesses for the last word and the information that those previous four words happen to provide.
This may at first sound like too much luck is involved, and in a way, that’s not entirely wrong. Nevertheless I succeeded hurdle

“Fuck this shit,” I wittily informed my fellow players in our definitely not nerd WhatsApp group.
Today? Today I found glorious victory. It was pretty close, but happily my final guess on that final lap felt correctly deduced rather than hopelessly guessed.
This is the work of Arkadium, a twenty year old casual gaming site that seems phenomenally successful although you’ve never heard of it. People keep suggesting that I create an account, but I’ve never done so and so far that hasn’t proven to be a problem. So it is just as free as the other variants.
