Microsoft is apparently working on a revamped chip for the Xbox Series X to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Usually, manufacturers continue to work on optimizations for their consoles after the release, which will come into play in later series. So apparently also Microsoft for the Xbox Series X.
Although the Xbox Series X doesn’t have any major problems in terms of performance, heat, noise or other areas, according to journalist Brad Sams, Microsoft is working on a revised version of the console.
Like Sams in a new one Video claims that the main focus is on a more efficient chip, which will also lead to a reduction in production costs.
“I think that’s true. I know Microsoft has been working on revisions to the chip.”
“Will there be any performance improvements or something like that now? I don’t think so, but Microsoft is always working to make cooler, more efficient chips because it lowers production costs.”
“I think it’s true that Microsoft is working on a smaller, more energy-efficient chip. That means I am very convinced of it.”
