The latest branch of the popular role-playing game series takes you to picturesque Prague. Well, the city on the Vltava in 2029 is not quite as picturesque anymore, rather the dystopian Luzi is going on here. Terrorist attacks are a ubiquitous threat, conspiracies smell everywhere and techno sects kill themselves in the public eye.
The protagonist Adam Jensen, already known from the predecessor Deus Ex: Human Revolution, finds himself in this chaos. As is typical of the series, you have the choice of how you want to proceed in the world. Fighting, sneaking, hacking – the playful freedom is again one of the great strengths of the title.

The role-playing aspect is also not neglected. Aside from the main quest, there are numerous side missions that allow Adam to learn new skills or improve existing ones. And of course you also have a lot of conversations. You can steer the dialogues in certain directions, which decides in many places in the game whether there will be a fight or not.
If so, the big action portion of the game comes into play. The exchange of fire works much better than in the predecessor and is quite demanding. If you want to avoid direct confrontation, you also have other options to reach your goal thanks to the clever game design.

Darkwood is a survival horror game that cannot be controlled from a first-person or third-person perspective, but instead illuminates the creepy events from above. During the day you have time to explore the open world at your leisure. However, when it gets dark, you should quickly seek shelter and hope that you survive the night.
what is your goal Darkwood lets you find out for yourself. There are no quest markers or other aids to help you. You should discover for yourself how to cope in this unforgiving world.
The game world is randomly generated with each run, which means that even after the first playthrough you cannot be sure that you are immediately in control of the situation. You collect materials, unlock new abilities, and even decide the fate of the characters you meet on your journey.
