Don’t worry, Cyberpunk 2077 will continue to receive updates and new content in the future. After patch 1.5 and most recently 1.52 were released for the role-playing game, things got quiet about the future of Cyberpunk 2077 for the time being. Instead, there was new information about The Witcher 4 and the associated switch to Unreal Engine 5.
But now Quest Director Pawel Sasko promises that the work on Cyberpunk 2077 is not done yet is. We break down what exactly Sasko reveals and what awaits you in the foreseeable future. In our post-test for Cyberpunk 2077, Natalie explains what has improved in Cyberpunk 2077 with Patch 1.5 and which new content we particularly like:
Cyberpunk 2077 tested after patch 1.5
Roleplaying has never felt so good
work is not done yet
Pawel Sasko lets his viewers know that CD Projekt has definitely not left Red Night City behind Live stream on Twitch to know. The quest director doesn’t get too specific, but he still tells a few details.
Patch 1.52 was not the last: After update 1.5 and the subsequent patch 1.52, it became quiet again about Cyberpunk 2077. However, Pawel Sasko confirms that the role-playing game is still being worked on:
We’re still improving the game because we’re all aware of the fact that there’s still work to be done. We are very happy that 1.5 was so well received by you and that motivates us all the more for our work.
Quests could be revised: Pawel Sasko also reveals that he is currently dealing with the game’s missions on a daily basis. Exactly what that means is not entirely clear. It is quite possible that existing quests will be tackled and optimized again or that the content will be completely new. Because the planned extensions are also discussed.
Extension(s) still in progress: So Sasko assures his viewers that DLCs for Cyberpunk 2077 are definitely being worked on. It is noteworthy here that Pawel is talking about extensions and not just one extension – in March 2022 there was only one addon and not several.
Of course, it’s impossible to say whether we’ll get several major updates for Cyberpunk 2077 in the style of Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Of course, the Quest Director could also allude to a large expansion and several mini-DLCs. In that regard, it’s best to wait for CD Projekt Red to share concrete information with us.
