Face-to-face video game fairs are finally back. If the E3 does not happen this year either, Gamescom and Paris Games Week 2022 will be there again.
Notice to fairground fans where you have to queue for 2 hours to test a game! After a three-year absence, Paris Games Week is making a grand comeback at the Porte de Versailles.
PGW 2022 already in November
It just fell. Paris Games Week 2022 will take place from November 2nd to 6th at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles. As usual, the French fair will open a day earlier to welcome trade visitors. The general public can reserve their tickets from June 15 on the event’s official website.
“The French video game will find its party. What a great pleasure to be able to meet again! We’re going to offer all our communities of gamers who are so engaged this benchmark event that they’ve been helping create for more than 10 years and is sorely missed. We have used the last two years to design this issue; a reunion that promises to be unforgettable »
– Nicolas Vignolles, General Delegate of SELL.
An edition dedicated to reunification
However, the Syndicate of Leisure Software Publishers (SELL) did not provide any information on the capacity of the event or the exhibitors. We assume that the usual publishers will take the opportunity to get back in touch with their fans in person. The Games Made In France stand should be back to give pride of place to French creations. One thing is for sure, this special edition will “ placed under the sign of reunification », the organizer announces on its official website.
A small surprise is therefore not excluded, especially in a context where E3 is no longer paramount and where announcements are distilled throughout the year. For example, the show could open with a conference, as was the case with PlayStation in 2017, for example. On this occasion, the Japanese publisher announced Ghost of Tsushima and Concrete Genie, as well as announced news about its other cartridges. We also remember the 2015 issue where Quantic Dream Detroit revealed Become Human in broad daylight.
