If you’ve ever tried to hit one Elden ring Boss or just accidentally hit yourself while playing, then you are familiar with the Earth Tree. It is this great, luminous tree that draws its power directly from the Elden Ring and stands at the center of Leyndell. When viewed, it clearly towers over the surrounding mountains and hills. That means it’s a really huge tree.
But how big is the really incredibly tall earth tree? Well, thanks to YouTubers Zullie the witchwe have at least some estimates.
With various parts for you to explore, it’s clear that, scientifically speaking, the thing is pretty damn massive; As Zullie notes, from any part of the map you can see the tree “dominating” the scenery. But these bits provide a comparison of how big the different parts of the tree are.
The trunk appears to continue hundreds of feet below the surface, and while it truncates at the top, there are branches that extend beyond that point. According to their measurements, from the (underground) base to the highest branching point, the Earth Tree is about 5,048 meters tall — or about 16,562 feet.
To put that in perspective, that’s a good chunk of the height of Mount Everest (roughly 29,000 feet). Alternatively, you can stack it up as about 15.3 Eiffel Towers (1,083 feet tall if you measure to the top) or 3,365 Danny DeVitos (4’10 inches, according to the internet).
Of course, the actual above-ground height of the tree is a little different and depends on where you can stand next to it. By Zullie’s calculations, that could mean about 1,000 meters (or 2,000 feet or so) less altitude. Nevertheless, we all agree: big Tree.
