Business acquisitions, and more specifically in the world of video games, are nothing new. However, in recent years, we’ve seen plenty of them, including giant moves like Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda.
A name that has always been in the air and linked to a movement of this type is Hideo Kojima and his studio Kojima Productions. Over the past few hours, rumors have been raging after a tweet was posted by Hideo himself where all the exclusive games developed by Sony’s own studios were seen, and where his Death’s Stranding appeared. Of course, it was all a matter of misunderstanding.
Kojima Productions “has been and will be” an independent studio
As you can see below, Hideo himself posted a tweet a few hours later apologizing for the misunderstanding, and where emphasizes the “independence” of his workshop”.

The Japanese developer’s studio will continue to develop titles that will reach more than one platform. Actually, Death’s Stranding was a PlayStation exclusive, but today also available for pcincluding its Director’s Cut version.
