Fia’s Quest in Elden Ring is one of the most fascinating, and completing it unlocks an alternate version of an Elden Ring ending once you beat the final boss.
However, it’s also full of convoluted stages, rare items like the weathered dagger and Rune of Death Repairnot to mention a plethora of secret places to discover.

How to Start Fia’s Quest in Elden Ring
To start Fia’s quest, you will have to complete Ranni’s quest until you get the Finger Slayer Blade.
This gets you into Nokron, the Eternal City by defeating Starscourge Radahn, then find a room under a statue of a giant fingerprint reader.
Once you have the Finger Slayer Blade, it’s time to find the Death Curse.
Where to find the death curse
You may have already explored this realm, in which case you will have a great time coming back here far more powerful than you probably were before. Enter the Carian Study Hall and place the Carian Inverted Statue on the pedestal of the first room.
You will now have to fight your way through the tower until you reach the divine tower, then grab the curse of death at the top of it. With that in hand, it’s time to return to Fia and continue the questline.
What to do with the Weathered Dagger in Fia’s Quest
Walk up to Fia in Roundtable Hold and let her hold you once more, and you should have a conversation option for a dagger. If it’s not there, try talking to him about everything else first and it should show up.
Now you need to find the owner of the weathered dagger. The good news is that they’re not far away, as the owner is the mysterious D. Now this questline spells the end for poor D, so make sure you’ve talked to them as much as you want before you go. . and handing them the dagger.
Rest at Grace’s Site in the Hold, and you should see that D is gone. If you now walk past Blacksmith Hewg, you will see that the top floor door behind him is now open.
Go to this room and you will find Fia there and can talk to her. Exhausting her dialogue will inspire Fia to continue her own journey, which means it’s time to continue our journey as well.
How to get to Deeproot Depths and find Fia’s location
Fia will now move to the Deeproot Depths. It is a domain you can get there via the Nokron Aqueduct. To get there, head to Grace’s site of Ancestral Woods. From there, head northeast and up and you’ll spot some jellyfish.
You have to follow this path and go down and you will find the cliff grace site facing the aqueduct.
This is a mini-dungeon that ends with a fight against two massive gargoyles, much like the original Dark Souls. Defeat them and you’ll notice a small coffin at the back of the boss arena.
You need to climb into this coffin and you will find yourself in the Deeproot Depths near the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Grace. There’s an Erdtree avatar here that doesn’t respawn, but after beating it you’ll need to turn right and cross the chasm using the roots.
Once you get past the roots, you’ll need to keep walking to the edge of the cliff and you should see Grace’s site of the Nameless Eternal City. Rest there, then continue into the ruined city here.
When you’re among the ruins, your goal should be to climb back up the roots and head to the Grace Across the Roots site. From there, just go inside the large area and you will have to fight the Fia champions.

How to Get the Death Repair Rune
Once you defeat this boss you will get a new Grace Site and Fia should be in the back of the area near the teleport door. If not, rest at Grace or travel elsewhere, then come back.
Go to Fia and when given the choice, say you want to be held. From there, keep talking to Fia until you can give her the death curse you already have in your inventory because you’re gifted.
You will now have to rest, then talk to Fia again. Repeat this until you can’t talk to her anymore because she’s no longer sitting or seemingly alive, and you’ll be able to interact with Fia and then you can enter the Deathbed Dream. This will allow lead you into a boss fight with Lichdragon Fortissax. Defeat them and you will leave the dream.
Now go back to Fia and you can to pick up the Prince of Death’s repair rune – the last step.
All you have to do now is keep following the game until the end and you will get the Age of Duskborn ending.
