Gaming News 6 Biggest HP Pockets In Video Games!
In your long and happy life as a gamer, you’ve inevitably encountered bosses with extra high hit points that, at least at first glance, completely unbalanced the combat. In this article we take a tour of the worst creatures in the genre. Beasts with way too much HP.
Yiazmat (Final Fantasy XII)
And we’re about to start with Final Fantasy XII, the twelfth installment in the famous Square Enix franchise, originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2007. Of course, as usual, the series sometimes has very complex fights – and epic – proportional to the great adventure lived by the heroes and the players. So brace yourself, here’s Yiazmat, described as the game’s “ultimate” boss, and not even considered a classic boss, but a “super boss” (though optional). He would have such a big gray dragon with orange and blue rings in stock more than 50 million hit points. And as if that wasn’t enough, the guy can unleash a devastating attack that can take you down in one fell swoop in a fight that can last for hours. In short, a great moment.
Adamantoise (Final Fantasy XV)
On the Square Enix license side, let’s continue with Adamantoise, a giant creature from Final Fantasy XV. Just like Yiazmat, it’s an optional super boss that’s entirely possible to pass alongside. And that makes all the more sense here since the animal can be mistaken for a mountain. The rocky structure actually serves as a shell for a giant turtle that (as you can imagine) carries a lot of life points, more than 5 million PV to be exact. That’s ten times less than Final Fantasy XII’s Big Boss, but the health bar here is calculated based on the player’s maximum power. In any case, the fight can therefore take a long time: online we can see fights that oscillate between 45 minutes and 1:30. Note that Adamantoise is a recurring monster in the license.
Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts)
Linking once again to the Final Fantasy series, but this time in a very different game: Kingdom Hearts, which bears the name first, arrived at the base – not what should rejuvenate us – on PS2 in 2002. You’re probably familiar with the series that mixes Square Enix and Disney licenses. A certain Sephiroth, a very famous antagonist of Final Fantasy VII, can be found in the founding work and in the second part. In both games, according to the Official Fandom of the series, he is the “ultimate secret boss”, who was recognized as the toughest enemy in the first episode. Aside from his (no doubt colossal) number of hit points, Sephiroth excels for a reason: his first life bar is invisible
Watch Dragon / Online Version (Dragon’s Dogma)
After Yiazmat, here comes another dragon that has (too) many health points: the primordial dragon from Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s famous action RPG. But be careful, we’re talking about the version of the beast that can be found online, much wilder than the one that appears when the player is not connected to the internet. According to several estimates the beast would have 3 billion – yes yes – hit points. They don’t have to draw a picture to tell you how big it is. First of all, the power of the monster can vary according to many parameters. To be successful you need to show patience and strength and make sure your team is at a high level.
Trillion (Trillion God of Destruction)
Have you ever heard of Trillion God of Destruction? It is a Japanese RPG developed by Compile Heart Studio and released on PC and PlayStation Vita between 2015 and 2016, depending on the country. And for its genre, it’s quite an original title that mixes both tactical elements with… dating sim. The idea is simple: you have to befriend six demon lords so that they can fight against Trillion, the big villain of the adventure and the only boss, by the way. And you see it coming, with a name like this, the game’s ultimate enemy has a lot of hit points: Trillion PV to be exact (1,000,000,000,000)
Mutant Ivy (Hyper Villain)
So for this time we go to another dimension: hyper villain, a rogue-lite that offers an adventure in a “non-Euclidean” world. Basically a world where two normally parallel lines can now meet. So the game takes the form of a large circle, the ends of which allow you to see in the distance the locations to be explored. A particularly confusing concept that is just like one of its bosses: Mutant Ivy. This is a huge plant that’s obvious infinite and whose life bar is also infinite. In fact, its branches unfold exponentially, revealing four new “leaves” after each branch, and so on. So to defeat it, you would have to destroy those leaves one by one or find its root. But given the complexity of it all, it won’t be easy.
