Gran Turismo 7 credits allow you to build your car collection and invest in upgrades to help you set better times and earn more cups.
You’ll earn them from multiple sources – from winning races to licensing – and there are a few things to keep in mind to help you earn credits easily.
As you complete the menu books, credits won’t be a priority, as you’re aiming to unlock everything the game has to offer, like tracks.
But once you’ve finished the main campaign credits, you can start jumping into several agricultural credit techniques to help you earn several of the best cars in Gran Turismo 7 faster – without having to buy them with real funds.
How to Get Credits in Gran Turismo 7
Credits are commonplace in Gran Turismo 7, and you’ll earn varying amounts through standard play, whether that’s racing the World Circuits, passing the often frustrating License Test mini-games, or completing missions. .
There are a few key things to know if you want to maximize the efficiency of your credit earning while playing:
- Races are credited based on your ranking, and you can revisit races you’ve already completed to earn more credits by placing yourself higher on the podium.
- If you do a clean run avoiding other drivers and staying on the track, you will get a clean run bonus at the end, which will increase your prize by 50%.
- Missions and license tests are credited by your ability, and you can keep retrying them to earn the gold trophy and earn more credits.
- Another source of credits is Gran Turismo 7 Roulette Tickets. Players can earn Roulette Tickets by completing menu books and completing their daily workout, logging in, and running the length of a marathon (26,219 miles) each day. Then there’s a chance you’ll win a small, medium, or large bundle of credits, as well as special coins and cars.
- Purchased with real-world funds – which we’ll discuss in more detail in the next section.
Remember that you can lower the difficulty of the game if you find a race with a huge payout too difficult, without affecting the amount of money you will win.

How to get credits easily at the start of Gran Turismo 7
As players progress through Gran Turismo 7, they will increase their license rank and gain access to better and more challenging tracks that offer greater rewards. This means that your credits earnings will increase as you get deeper into the game. But what if you want to farm credits and turn to an expensive car?
The best way to earn credits is to participate in events that suit your car and track tastes, but you can make this easier and more lucrative by considering the following factors:
- running speed – The faster the race, the faster the payout, so focus on finding a circuit or championship with fewer laps and stages.
- PP efficiency – You want to strike a balance between the PP demands of the race and how much you can boost or under-sync your car so it can finish faster.
- Player ability – Is there a particular circuit that you are very comfortable with and that you can ride without too much effort? Prioritize it when farming.
For example, a farm circuit I liked to use early on is the Clubman Cup Plus at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in Europe. The race is 2 laps long, requires a Mini-Cooper ‘S’ ’65 (which you get for free from a first menu book), and spits out 35,000 credits if you come in first place.
I overclocked my bloated Mini with nitrous oxide and it went around the track in about 3 1/2 minutes. If I complete a clear run, I will receive a total of 52,500 credits. It’s always an effort to save, but it’s hard to turn down this method if you’re just looking to grind expensive cars.
How to Farm Credits in Gran Turismo 7
Once you’ve completed all the menus and rolled the credits in Gran Turismo 7, there are a few places that are more suitable for farming than others.
UPDATE (March 22, 2022): Following the 1.08 update, many previously lucrative payouts have been halved. While they’re still the most viable ways to earn money in Gran Turismo 7 – we’ve reflected the changes below so you can see what they pay out now – it means you’ll have to spend more time to save for the cars you need. The community responded with a script exploit that those of a PS Remote Play app on PC, which can earn up to 550,000 credits per hour with minimal effort.
Dirt Champions can be found at Fishermans Ranch in the Americas, and it’s a dash of a ride in dedicated rally machines that net you 65,000 for winning – or 97,500 if you keep it clean (UPDATE: The rate not own has been changed to 30,000 as of update 1.08). Even if you can’t, with a payout of 39,000 for second place – or last, since it’s a two-car race – this race is worth it.
the GT Cup Gr. 4 races at Japan’s High Speed Ring is a five-lap blast that also pays 65,000, or 97,500 if you can run a clean run and come out on top (UPDATE: Unclean rate changed to 35,000 from of Update 1.08). Considering the relatively undemanding nature of the track, the speed of the cars you’ll be entering, and the short length of the race, this is another decent place to hunker down for an hour or two if you want easy credits.
If that’s a little too much effort for you, however, you might want to turn to the American Clubman Cup 700 which takes place around a single lap of the American Special Stage Route X. If you’ve ever played Gran Turismo, you might be familiar with the track, which is actually two very long straights connected by a few tight-radius corners that can easily be driven flat out – meaning this particular event requires no real intervention beyond hitting the accelerator in a high-performance car.
We haven’t tested ourselves if the old rubber band on the throttle trigger trick works here – but either way, it’s a low-effort method of getting credits fast, with a payout of 30,000 credits which can go up to 45,000 if you keep it clean (UPDATE: Unclean rate changed to 15,000 as of update 1.08) – and there’s very little to do on the Special Stage Route X, so it’s not that difficult.
