In Marvel Phase 4, the Avengers are in tatters. Without Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America, who else is in the superhero squad?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is changing! After the end of “Avengers: Endgame” a lot has happened, superheroes have gone, superheroes have been added. So we ask ourselves who is actually still part of the Avengers?
The new films and Disney+ series from Marvel Phase 4 are currently being released. But since Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. left the MCU as Captain America, Black Widow and Iron Man, the superhero troupe seems to have disintegrated.
Luckily there’s Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, who makes sure that the superhero troupe stays on earth. In “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” he teamed up with Wong (Benedict Wong) to get Shang-Chi to join the Avengers.
While Iron Man and Black Widow died, Captain America has traveled back in time and is therefore an old man in the present time. Hawkeye has retired from the superhero business while Thor has left Earth and is thus only an inactive member of the Avengers. Only Bruce Banner keeps the superhero troupe alive.
In view of the upcoming theatrical release of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, we’ll tell you on the next few pages which superheroes and superheroines are currently part of the Avengers team.
