Overwatch 2 beta Twitch drop times in UK / BST, CEST, PDT and PDT

There are two ways to access the Overwatch 2 beta, and the most pressing is through Twitch drops, which happen today (April 27).

To participate, once you’ve connected your Blizzard account to Twitch and have access to Overwatch (a free trial is currently available, so be sure to use it), you must watch Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch for a total of four hours during the eight hour window.

The Overwatch 2 beta Twitch drop times are as follows:

  • UK: 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (BST)
  • Europe: 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. (CEST)
  • US East Coast: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. (EDT)
  • United States West Coast: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (PDT)

For those in Europe, that means you’ll have to watch during the evening, while those in North America can watch during the afternoon hours.

To clarify, you only need to watch four hours in total – so no need to wait until 2am for those in the UK if you start early enough!

List of Overwatch 2 Twitch Streamers

Once you’ve linked your Blizzard and Twitch accounts and have access to the first Overwatch (there’s a free trial you can redeem), tune into one of the following streamers during the hours above.

Although Blizzard has stated that “your watch time will increase regardless of which stream you watch” in the available list, which means you may be able to mix and match streams as long as you watch four hours in total. , it may be best to stick to a single Twitch channel to be on the safe side.

If you fail, Blizzard says it’s “planning additional testing” beyond this first beta – so don’t think it’s your only shot.

In the meantime, you should register directly if you haven’t already…

Overwatch 2 beta registration access explained

Beyond the time-limited Twitch deposit scheme, you can also access via direct registrations.

You can do this on the official site, where halfway through you can “sign up for the beta”, which requires you to log into your Blizzard account.

Unlike the Twitch drop pattern, which is chosen from here is a bit less clear. Factors include your Battle.net region, date of registration, and hardware specifications. Of course, you won’t have control over some of them – so it’s all about waiting for Blizzard to decide it’s your turn.

Anyway, signups are only available for those on PC (for the first closed beta, at least) and you’ll need to own a copy of the first game to participate – however, there’s a free trial period. during the beta period which can help with this.

Overwatch 2 Beta Dates

The first beta of Overwatch 2 will run from April 26 to May 17. Blizzard added that dates may change “depending on testing needs,” meaning they could be shortened – or even extended, depending on how things go.

Either way, Blizzard says it’s “planning additional testing” beyond this first beta – and plans to include console gamers in the future.

What’s in the Overwatch 2 beta?

The PC-only, PvP-focused beta will feature the following:

  • Push Competitive Escort Mode
  • Four new maps – Circuit Royal, Midtown, New Queen Screen and Colosseo
  • Five Heroes – Sojourn (new to Overwatch) and Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion, Sombra reworks
  • New Ping system and revamped user interface

In our preview of Overwatch 2 earlier this year, our hands-on revealed a game that felt “refreshing if not remarkably new” – though between the reduced squad sizes and reworked heroes the differences might seem “transformational”.

Finally, be aware that any progress you make during the Overwatch 2 beta will not carry over to the full game.
