Like every Thursday, NVIDIA has news about GeForce NOW today. The streaming service welcomes a number of new titles, including the currently successful Lost Ark. In addition, users of current Macs from Apple particularly benefit.
NVIDIA is giving its GeForce NOW game streaming service the fresh update to version 2.0.40 this week, further optimizing the streaming experience. Users of current Macs benefit in particular, because Apple has been using its own M1 processors for the past year. All M1-based MacBooks, iMacs and Mac Minis will be natively supported by GeForce NOW and no longer need to be emulated via Apple’s Rosetta 2 interface.
This fact ensures that GeForce NOW on Macs will have lower power consumption in the future and also offer faster start times for apps. MacBook gamers can thus use the battery to gamble longer without having to charge their device.
Detached from the Mac innovation, the update brings a new and improved streaming statistics overlay with more information. One of the other more notable additions is the game FPS (rendering frame rates), which joins the existing streaming FPS (streaming frame rates).
And: Of course there will also be new things on the games front on Thursday! The GeForce NOW library will be expanded again with a number of current titles, including the new strategy game Dune: Spice Wars (Early Access) and Amazon’s successful action RPG Lost Ark.
The following new additions are to be welcomed at GeForce NOW.
