Today we bring you news from Nikkei Asia that could impact more than one. As shared by the media from Osaka, Nintendo would have expectations of sell “only” 20 million Nintendo Switch consoles in this new fiscal year, which would mean a decrease of 10% in terms of sales expectations with respect to the previous fiscal year corresponding to 2021 that now ends.
This has its origin in microchip shortage which, as you know, is affecting the entire world. When this situation returns to normal (we hope next year), Nintendo should see a normalization in terms of device sales. In the meantime, console fans are waiting for us a year full of fun with some of the company’s best releases in years, such as Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, or Pokémon Scarlet and Purple… In other words, things are coming!
What do you think of all this? Do you think these forecasts are fulfilled? Do not hesitate to leave it in the comments!
