Four Houses This week is getting some new difficulty settings, devs pat Show them off in a new video.
One of Sifu’s main selling points is that it’s a tough game, but maybe a little too hard for some and not hard enough for others. Now, in a free update, Sloclap has added two new difficulty options to the game to relax or up the ante depending on your goals. The update is due tomorrow (May 3rd) and adds student and master difficulty settings, which are detailed in a new video.
If you want to play what the game looks like when it starts, then you can stick with the disciple setting, which is basically just normal mode when transitioning to other video game difficulty settings. This means that the student is in easy mode and the master is in hard mode.
Student Mode offers some ways to make things easier for players. On the one hand, enemy AI will be less aggressive, meaning you’re less likely to be overwhelmed by a large crowd. Enemies are also weaker, which means they take fewer hits. The aging mechanics have also become more forgiving. In the base game, your age is reflected in the number of times you play the game. But it looks like you only get a year older every time you’re in student mode.
If you want to add a little more challenge, Master Mode can do that for you. Student mode makes the AI less aggressive, while Master mode does the opposite, making them more aggressive, meaning more intimidating for a large group of people. And bosses have new modes, so if you spend a lot of time learning them in disciple mode, you’ll have some work to do.
Sifu seems to be doing well since its launch, selling 1 million copies in about a month.
