After a resounding departure from Rockstar, the brilliant Leslie Benzies has set up his studio and we finally get to know a little more about his next game: Everywhere.

Leslie Benzies left Rockstar Games with a bang in 2018 and has since been working on a new game titled Everywhere, the title of which has remained a mystery to this day. However, what interests us is a presentation published on the Galaxy Interactive website. Discovered by analyst Roberto Serrano, this document lists the companies that received money from the mutual fund. On the list, our man immediately liked the name Build a Rocket Boy since it’s Leslie Benzies’ new studio.

While the document doesn’t explicitly mention the Everywhere game, it does provide some information about the project from the former President of Rockstar North’s teams. According to the report, the game will be “Ready Player One but in real life.” So reference is made to the book, but also to Spielberg’s film.

A discreet game

It will be an open world AAA multiplayer experience including epic storytelling across multiple chapters. The document also mentions user-generated content via a “virtual sandbox” where users can create their own worlds. The focus will be on streaming and social media integration.

Everywhere: an ambitious project?

At the moment the development of Everywhere has been carried out in the utmost secrecy and this is the first time that we discover some elements. However, we suspect that the work has been underway for a long time. We also remember that the title was initially supposed to use the Amazon Lumberyard engine before eventually moving to Unreal Engine 5.

Aside from this description, the only information about the game comes from its official website. A short sentence serves as a teaser and announces this:

In the near future, technology has brought humanity to the brink of a shift that will transform the world. There are those who want to use this technology for their own benefit and those who want to help humanity. Will we look to the stars? Or are we looking at our feet? Are we inspired? Or will we live in fear? There is a war between good and evil in the hearts of men and women. Everything changes. And there is no turning back. It’s a game, a community. It’s a new world. The storm is on the horizon. And that’s just the beginning of Everywhere.
