Overwatch 2: Beta should get more heroes and maps

Beta, Heroes, Maps, Overwatch

The PvP beta for the upcoming Overwatch 2 is in full swing, but at the same time it is far from over. Rather, Blizzard Entertainment wants to give participants more beta content over time.

The Overwatch 2 PvP beta is still in an early phase; this should therefore continue for a while and get further feedback from gamers before the PvP part officially starts as a full version. Developer Blizzard Entertainment has therefore planned additional content for the further course of the beta.

In the short to medium term, there should be more new features in the beta, such as new maps and access to heroes in the hero shooter that have not yet been announced. There are also regular balancing adjustments, with the focus initially being on the supporters.

Blizzard initially did not give a concrete timetable as to when maps or new heroes can be expected beyond Sojourn, but commented on the current priorities. The addressed support heroes should receive additional buffs; in individual cases there may also be revised skills. In the longer term, the integration of new support heroes is planned.

The menu navigation and other points were also addressed. Blizzard points out that the beta is still work-in-progress and elements such as menu screens, scoreboards and hero looks have not yet been fully implemented or are complete.
