Ubisoft has just announced official details about The Division 2 Season 9 Hidden Alliance Update.
Ubisoft today announced that new content for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will be released on May 12th. Season 9: Hidden Alliance and the new PvE mode Countdown will be the highlight of the upcoming title update 15.
Season 9: Hidden Alliance is available to anyone who owns The Division 2 The Warlords of New York.
A new enemy appears in Season 9: The new season continues the story of The Division and brings the agents back to the aftermath of their mission to defeat a former Division commander-turned-traitor.
With a new target, Captain Lewis, on the loose, the Division must gather intel and take out four high-ranking True Sons before they can confront him. Season 9 is one of three seasons that are scheduled to release throughout the year.
New eight-player co-op mode: Countdown is a new and intense co-op mode in which up to eight Division agents are dispatched to a power plant and given 15 minutes to stabilize a power plant and avoid a lockdown.
Deployed in two teams of four, the agents start in different locations on the map and must work together to complete the challenge. The Division will face some familiar enemies that they must fend off in order to secure the power plant. Finally, they must call the evacuation helicopter before time runs out.
New feature – know-how: From May 12, the feature offers expertise gives players a new way to upgrade their gear and boost base stats like damage, armor, and skills. Players can increase their know-how by using every item in the game.
The more different items they use, the higher their level. The know-how also allows players to increase the base stats of each individual item and reach a new power limit.
New weapons and equipment: The new update will also feature a variety of new items, including the Heartbreaker gear set, new exotic items, new named items, and more. Additional rewards will also be offered to players with the Season 9 Pass.
Twitch Drops: From May 12th to May 31st, all Twitch streamers in The Division 2 Directory are eligible for Twitch Drops. This means that all viewers will receive free rewards if they watch any The Division 2 stream during this period.
Rewards include one Legacy Cache, two High-End Caches, and one Exotic Cache. Drops are given after every hour, all drops can be obtained after 4 hours of watching.
Free weekend: From May 13th to May 15th, The Division 2 is free to play on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect on Windows PC, as well as Stadia, Luna and Ubisoft+.
