Hard blow for the Xbox first party catalog, Starfield and Redfall have postponed their release date to the first half of 2023
Bethesda communicated this afternoon through the social networks which Starfield and Redfall are postponed to the first half of 2023. A blow to the catalog First party of Xbox, which had not had a very busy first half either. The publisher himself justified in his statement that the two Arkane Austin (red fall) as Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) need more time to finish fine-tuning the details before its launch. As usual with the Xbox Game Studios catalog of games, both titles will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass.
Redfall, billed as the one more thing from the Xbox conference at E3 2021, was supposed to arrive this summer, with no specific date yet. On the other hand, Starfield revealed its release date during the same conference of 11.11.22, a lucky date to coincide with the eleventh release of Skyrim (11.11.11).
It must be recognized that since two announcements at the E3 2021 conference, we had hardly seen new graphics hardware for the two games. Just a few details about Starfield, basically development diaries focused on the game’s world and characters. In contrast, with Redfall just around the corner, we had hardly received any updates on its development status.
So given what we’ve seen, we’ll be waiting more than ever for news and some surprises in the form of a close launch at the Microsoft and Bethesda conference announced for the next June 12, 2022.
