Soulstice looks to be the next Devil May Cry and gets a fall release window

There is a very cool new game trailer soul musicwhich also confirms the fall release window.

Italian studio pattern game Showcasing Soulstice, an action-adventure game about 11 minutes long, it has some very strong Devil May Cry vibes. The game stars a pair of sisters, Briar and Lute, who are “reborn as chimeras.” According to the trailer’s description, “This transformation gives Briar superhuman strength and resilience, while Lute, who sacrificed to bind his own soul to that of his sister, becomes a ghost with mysterious powers.”

The game does seem to be very focused on combos, and there’s even a points system that looks like it’s from Bayonetta, as you get hits on enemies. Players will primarily play as Briar, while Lute takes on a more distant role.

It looks like synchronizing Briar and Lute’s attacks will be an important part of in-game combat, as doing so builds something called Unity (rather than a game engine). Building Unity lets Lute perform special Synergy attacks, so looking good at the game will reward you in a number of ways.

According to the game’s description on Steam, players can also customize weapons and abilities as needed, switching even during combos.

Both characters also appear to be voiced by Stefanie Joosten, best known for her role in Metal Gear Solid 5.

Don’t let the soul part of the name confuse you, though, as it doesn’t look like a soul of any shape or form, and the only slight connection to the genre is the somewhat challenging-looking fights.

Soulstice has no specific release date set, but will release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime this fall.
