An indestructible armor for a material with certain doubts
The Crosscall Core-X5 inherits the good work of previous generations without changing key hardware details too much, like the processor. This is certainly the most negative aspect of the phone, at least on paper: the included Snapdragon 665 he is already three years old, too long for a SoC. Of course, it is a processor that has the guarantees of the Android Enterprise Recommended program: the Crosscall Core-X5 is certified.
The screen size of the phone is not exaggerated, which is why the mobile itself is large in itself: 6.45 inches diagonal with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels
For the rear camera, Crosscall relies on a 48-megapixel sensor located in a rear module with its LED flash. The mobile includes a direct flashlight option as well as four programmable buttons; to, for example, launch the camera application directly. This one does not offer exaggerated settings, neither manual nor playful.
The hardware is a bit basic, yes, the 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (with an SD card and triple SIM tray option) help. However, the important thing about the Crosscall Core-X5 is its resistance: the armor that protects the phone allows it to withstand bad weather, shocks and even small incidents in the work environment. It has IP68 protection, all connectors are waterproof
On the hardware side, there is another bad news: the Crosscall Core-X5 starts with Android 11 and with the promise that it will soon upgrade to Android 12. Crosscall retains a pure Android look (quite close to AOSP, albeit with Google apps) and includes a 4,940 mAh battery. Given the content of the material, the autonomy should be comfortable.
