Techland can’t complain. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is doing well, fans are enjoying it, ratings look decent, and new content is in the works. But the thoughts are already moving on.

Although Techland has announced that it will produce plenty of new content and DLCs for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the developers are apparently already thinking about a possible Dying Light 3. At least that is what the lead game designer Tymon Smektała says VGC out.

After a few months, during which the developers were able to collect feedback and reflect, fundamental changes for a possible sequel are already being considered. Above all, you’re thinking about making the main character stronger from the start.

“One thing is that if we’re making Dying Light 3, then I would like the main character to start with bigger and better starting abilities and skills,” says Smektała. In other words, should Dying Light 3 come about, think hard about giving the player more powers, more skills and more abilities right from the start.

But it will probably take a lot of time before that happens. After all, there is still a lot to do for the current part, such as the first story DLC, which was recently postponed to September. In addition, Techland had already confirmed in the run-up to the release of Dying Light 2 that they wanted to support the game for at least five years.
