Gearbox currently has 9 AAA titles in development, according to its parent company, Embracer Group, in the latest quarterly tax report. “Gearbox continues to expand the organization to meet its ambitious growth plan, with nine AAA games currently in development.“, says the report.
There is some confusion about this, since Embracer did not specify in the report if these nine games are exclusively from Gearbox.although probably yes. Everyone’s definition of what a AAA production is is also not very clear, although they are expected to be great games.
Gearbox has already officially presented Homeworld 3 there Super light, although they are not considered AAA as such, especially the latter.
