Acer has introduced a laptop that makes it possible to play in 3D without the hassle of glasses. This is ensured by 3D technology in the display itself. In addition, the gaming laptop is equipped with strong hardware so that you can run the games in real time and in all three dimensions.
The laptop with 3D technology is called Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition and was on Acers next@acer
event presented. The exciting feature is made possible by a so-called stereoscopic technology in the display. The laptop has a 15.6-inch 4K display on which a special lens (liquid crystal lenticular lens) is attached, which provides the 3D effect. But you can switch back and forth between 2D and 3D at any time.
On the software side, the SpatialLabs True Gaming app ensures that supported games are converted from 2D to 3D in real time. The software uses the depth information of the game for this. According to Acer, this should be possible for more than 50 games when the laptop is launched. The third component is eye tracking. Ultimately, this ensures that the 3D effect looks realistic regardless of your position in relation to the laptop.
Basically, the technology is very similar to that of the New Nintendo 3DS, except that the 3D laptop has a larger screen and also supports hardware-hungry games.

Fancy 3D? How about VR!
The hardware is impressive
So that the gaming laptop can calculate the games quickly in 3D, it has installed up to a 12th generation Intel Core 9 processor. There is also a Geforce RTX 3080 for laptops and 32 GB DDR5-4800 RAM. A 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD is available for data storage. A gaming laptop should not be lacking in connectivity either. That’s why Killer Wi-Fi 6E is installed here.
As connections you get a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB 3.2 of the second generation and an HDMI 2.1 port. Cooling is provided by two fans inside the laptop, one of which is a 5th generation Acer AeroBlade fan. With the particularly thin leaves, it can work in a space-saving manner in the gaming laptop.
