Something is up in Assassin’s Creed again. All signs point to the game getting an upgrade for next-gen consoles, and very soon.
It’s not official yet, but all signs indicate that good old Assassin’s Creed: Origins will receive an update in the coming week, which owners of the new consoles in particular can look forward to.
The Twitter account PlayStationSize has once again browsed through the data from the Playstation Store and stumbled upon patch notes of a possible update. If these are correct, the game, like its successor Odyssey, will receive a 60fps update for PS5 (and thus very likely Xbox Series X/S) and a franchise menu.
When updating Odyssey, Ubisoft considered modernizing Origin as well, and that seems to be the case now. It is currently assumed that the update will be installed in the coming week.
The question remains whether Ubisoft will release another crossover DLC. With Odyssey, the 60fps patch came along with an Eivor-Kassandra crossover that caused a lot of excitement among fans.
