Android 13 is casting its shadow thanks to a Google move. Meanwhile, Samsung and Co. are busy distributing Android 12. These are the most important Android updates of the week.
Numerous Android updates were distributed again this week.
- Numerous cell phones from Asus, Samsung, Xiaomi, Nokia and OnePlus are currently receiving an update to Android 12.
- On older devices, you’ll also get some Android 13 features thanks to an update to Google Play Services.
A real wave of Android 12 updates is currently rolling through the country. At the beginning of the week, Xiaomi released the long-awaited update for the Xiaomi 12X and OnePlus for the OnePlus Nord. But Samsung, Asus and Nokia are also making great strides in rolling out the current Android version.
The following other cell phones are currently receiving the update to Android 12
Samsung started rolling out Android 12 for the Galaxy A31 and M22 this week, the website reports XDA Developers. So far, however, the update is only available for download in Russia (A31) or in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (M22). In Germany it should be available from June.
Asus is also rolling out Android 12. So will dem according to the manufacturer currently updating the ZenFone 7 and the ZenFone 7 Pro. The Nokia G20 is also currently receiving Android 12, the website reports Nokiamob. According to the website, the update will only be distributed in Austria for the time being.
In France, the update to Android 12 for the Nokia 2.4 will also be distributed.
Fairphone 3 gets Android 11
For the Fairphone 3 and the Fairphone 3+, however, the update to Android 11 is now available. This contains dem according to the manufacturer also the security patch from April 2022.
Android 13 features for older phones
Google, on the other hand, is generous and is already distributing some of the features announced for Android 13 to older cell phones with Android 12 and 11. You have to update the Google Play services for this.
