Codemasters and Electronic Arts have announced in-game updates to EA SPORTS F1 22 for the Spanish, Australian and Abu Dhabi circuits, bringing them in line with their real-world counterparts. The improvements have been designed to promote increased competition in the new era of Formula 1. All thanks to the introduction of new cars and regulations for the 2022 FIA Formula One™ World Championship.
Europe
- Turn 10 features a new layout that matches those introduced in real life for the postponed 2021 race.
- Turns 10-14 have updated off-road areas, as well as several sausage curbs around the circuit.
Australia
- The Albert Park circuit has been reshaped using lidar data, with more detailed height and tilt. The walls of the exterior spaces have been repositioned and the borders have been replaced with new photogrammetric versions. There are many changes to the circuit with a new layout for turns 1, 3, 6, 8/9 (replacing the chicane), 11, 12 and 13.
Abu Dhabi
- Yas Marina Turn 5, where Verstappen passed Hamilton to win the 2021 Formula 1™ World Championship, has changed with the removal of the chicane before the hairpin. Additionally, the hairpin was moved forward, adding more runoff, and the Turn 9 chicane and 90 degree turns are now a single banked turn, replacing Turns 11-14. Finally, turns 13-15 have been bypassed around the hotel to allow cars to follow them more closely.
I’ve traveled to worlds you’d never believe, ended up with enemies that elude all mysticism. I felt my pulse quicken with each battle, and the sigh of someone who knows they will have to get back up. There’s always a villain waiting and an adventure just around the corner.
