The first half of 2022 is slowly but surely coming to an end. Have you discovered many new games in the last six months? If you’re rather disappointed with the new releases or have been waiting for discounts on some titles, this week could finally be the day.

We have picked out our highlights for you, garnished them with a whole bunch of other games and listed them for you together with our usual price comparison. Enjoy browsing!

Deathloop

Deathloop in the test video: The best single player shooter of the year!
Genre: Ego-Shooter | Developer: Arkane Studios | Release: 14. September 2021 | Platform: Epic | Preis: 30 Euro (reduced by 50 percent) | Offer valid until: 16. June 2022
Are you in the mood for an atmospheric first-person shooter with an – at least as far as the basic premise is concerned – an exciting story? Then buying Deathloop is a decision you won’t regret.
What’s the matter? Do you know that feeling when you get up in the morning and think: Wait a minute, I’ve seen that day before!
? Exactly the same goes for the mercenary Colt Vahn, who actually finds himself in a time warp. But that’s not his only problem, because he also has to eliminate eight specific targets on the strange island.
But Colt’s opponent, the tough Julianna Blake, has something against it, and so a turbulent action-fun relaxes on the island, which you won’t let go of anytime soon. The replay value is mainly increased by the fact that you can slip into the role of both characters and experience the story from both perspectives.
Are you still not completely convinced? Then read our test – again and again and again and …

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition
15:09
Nioh 2 is great – we’ll show you why in this video!
Genre: Action RPG | Developer: Team Ninja | Release: February 05, 2021 | Platform: Epic | Preis: 39 Euro (reduced by 35 percent) | Offer valid until: 16. June 2022
Samurai. Souls combat system. Japanese mythology. The chances are quite good that after these three keywords some of you clicked on the link and pulled out your credit card. But why is Nioh 2 such an ideal way for fans of Dark Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Co. to fill the void left by the Elden Ring?
The route is the goal: As a death-defying samurai, you will find yourself in the warlike Sengoku era of Japan. The game only gradually reveals to you via storytelling about the environment what exactly the plot is about. That’s why we won’t tell you too much at this point. But you can look forward to all sorts of dark demons from Japanese folklore, who will bless you time and time again. But if you like Soulslikes, you’ll like this form of self-torture anyway.
The Complete Edition includes the DLCs that have been released so far The Tengu’s Disciple
, Darkness in the Capital
and The First Samurai
contain. What distinguishes Nioh 2 in detail and what technical stumbling blocks you have to reckon with, you can find out in our test:

A grandiose, but not well-rounded Souls game
Epic Mega-Sale
Did you notice that both highlights of this week’s Midweek Madness are from the Epic Store? There is a good reason for this, because the so-called Mega Sale will take place from May 19th to June 16th, 2022, in which over one hundred games will be heavily discounted. Thanks to the 25 percent coupons on selected games, you can occasionally save even more. All reduced titles can be found here:

Ubisoft Legendary-Sale
True legends are rare. Are there any of these at Ubisoft? You have to decide that for yourself. But if you’ve always wanted to dust off Anno 1800, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division 2 or Far Cry 6 cheaply, the Legendary Sale, which runs until May 31, could be worth your attention:

40 Years of Electronic Arts – Anniversary Sale at GOG
Electronic Arts celebrates its birthday. The sometimes loved, sometimes hated publisher of these days is a proud 40 years old. But you don’t have to send cheesecake to the USA by airmail (we don’t even want to imagine the smell when opening it), but you can thank GOG for the time together by buying a few reduced EA titles. Whether Crysis, Dragon Age or Dead Space – everyone should find something here:

- Old World (GOG): Oh come on, of course we won’t let you go without another strategy game! In the turn-based 4X game Old World you will not be able to overlook the parallels to cult games like Civilization or Stellaris. Terrible? Our test says: Definitely not! (36 dollars, reduced by 10 percent)
