PlayStation Productions is continuing the projects
We know that Sony is preparing a series of customization projects for its licenses. HBO will soon be releasing a The Last of Us series eagerly awaited, for example. We know PlayStation Productions has a Ghost of Tsushima movie planned, a Jak and Daxter movie, and no doubt has a sequel to the blockbuster Uncharted in mind. But this time Jim Ryan returned to series projects on the Netflix and Amazon streaming platforms.
From the God of War, Horizon and Gran Turismo series
As reported by user Nightengale on ResetEra, Jim Ryan, who was watching Jim Ryan’s presentation live (no VOD available for this presentation yet) broadcast by Press Start Australia, mentioned three series: God of War, Horizon and Gran Turismo. He thereby confirmed that the God of War series is in development and indicated that Amazon Prime Video would be broadcasting it. We had already heard about this series project, but so far only at the rumor stage. On the other hand, Jim Ryan announces the project of a Horizon series for the first time. The rich and colorful universe of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West is therefore set to be enriched with a series that will be broadcast on Netflix. Finally, Jim Ryan mentions another series based on Gran Turismo, this time without naming a broadcaster.
You can’t escape PlayStation licenses
So Sony is placed everywhere. With The Last of Us on HBO, God of War on Amazon Prime, Horizon on Netflix, Spider-Man content on Disney+ and more to come, Sony ensures that for every subscription you sign up for, Have access to at least one of their franchises. It should also be remembered that other PlayStation Productions projects have been announced, without necessarily giving more details than for the previously mentioned series: a twisted metal series starring Anthony Mackie planned for the NBC streaming service Peacock, and, as we said above, a Ghost of Tsushima movie and a Jak and Daxter movie.
Now it remains to be seen who will take on the exciting but difficult task of interpreting Kratos and Aloy on screen. As a reminder, Aloy’s physique was inspired by the character Ygritte from Game of Thrones… So to say it’s Rose Leslie who will be interpreting the heroine of Horizon?
