In a few months, Samsung is going to announce two new foldable phones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The latter will be the more expensive of the two, as has happened in previous generations, but still, a price drop. It is possible that this is why its characteristics are not very different from what we see on the 2021 and 2020 models, at least according to the latest leaks.
New processor but not much else
was the filter Yogesh Brar who targeted on his Twitter profile the main specifications that this terminal will have.
To begin with, the interior screen will have a diagonal of 7.6″ with QXGA+ resolution and AMOLED technology, with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The exterior, 6.2″ and HD+ resolution, will use the same refresh rate and panel type. A reduction in the size of the center ply of the largest panel is expected.
The processor will be the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and there will be two versions, one with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory and another with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
The cameras will be five, as before. We’ll have a 10MP outer bezel, a 16MP inner bezel (which is supposed to be under the display), and three on the back. In this module, there will be a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP wide-angle and a 12MP 3x optical telephoto lens. Previous leaks spoke of a 108MP main sensor.
The battery will be 4400 mAh, so we should not expect a significant increase in autonomy. Fast charging will be limited to 25W, this is one of the most delicate points.
As always, this kind of information should be taken with a grain of salt, but Samsung’s approach to its new folding seems quite plausible given that it doesn’t yet have direct competition in any folding market in the world. , with the possible exception of China.
