An impressive fan video demonstrates how good Starfield could look based on Unreal Engine 5.
Since there is hardly any official video material for the space role-playing game Starfield, which was recently postponed to 2023, a group of YouTubers has taken on this task and published an impressive fan video.
Entitled Imagining Starfield, the video created using Unreal Engine 5 features an awe-inspiring alien world, massive starships and bustling spaceports set to hopeful music. In the description it says as follows:
“We’re so excited for Starfield that we couldn’t help but envision this upcoming game in Unreal. Check out this great footage from various Unreal Engine 5 reels and projects and imagine what Bethesda’s next space story could be like when it finally comes out.”
Unlike the fan video, Starfield will be powered by Bethesda’s Creation Engine 2, an evolution of the engine previously used in games like Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Whether the official video footage of Starfield can keep up with the fan video, we may find out in just under two weeks during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12th.
