PC servers come back online

Online, servers

Dark Souls Trilogy PC servers have been disabled for security reasons and are about to return. FromSoftware developers sent a message on the subject.

After a major security issue, FromSoftware decided to disable the Dark Souls Trilogy PC servers. The studio promises a fix is on the way.

Heading towards a return of Dark Souls trilogy PC servers

Earlier this year, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced that the DS Remastered, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3 PC servers would be shut down, which happened in January prior to the launch of Elden Ring due to a security breach. In fact, through the three games’ PvP servers, some were able to infiltrate other players’ games (normal)… but steal data (not normal). This unwanted intrusion was also an opportunity for users to remotely install viruses or other malicious applications.

Contacted by our colleagues PC gamerFromSoftware shared an online return of PC servers… without giving a date or window for all of this.

We are currently in the process of restoring the DS franchise online servers to PC. We plan to gradually restore online services for each game and restore those for DS3 when we have completed the work needed to fix the issue.. We will keep you informed of the restoration schedule. We thank all players for their patience and understanding.

Patience is still the key.
