The Mobile World Congress of this 2022 allowed us to meet many mobiles that ended up arriving months later. An example of this is the recently launched Honor Magic4 Pro, but also the ZTE video games. Concretely, it is the ZTE Blade V40 Vita which has already appeared in certain markets.
The successor to the ZTE Blade V30 Vita Bring home a UNISOC chip From which nothing revolutionary can be expected either, but on paper it aims to offer the performance expected in a mid-range like this. It also incorporates other notable details in terms of battery or screen. We see below the detail of its characteristics.

A striking design with a more than acceptable screen
Aesthetically, we don’t see anything disruptive in this ZTE Blade V40 Vita, even if that doesn’t take anything away from the “flashy” nickname. Available in two colors Those who have been called “Pine Green” and “Zeus Black”, this device offers a rear that attracts attention for this curious rough material that forms lines that point towards the camera module.
As for the screen, we could not expect great boasts in a mobile that straddles the budget range and the mid-range. For this reason, its IPS technology is not objectionable and even less so when accompanied 90Hz refresh rate. It is not the only one to integrate such a frequency in this range, but it is nonetheless worthy of mention, considering that there are still models in this range at 60 Hz.
Moderate performance, good battery and an “old” Android
We must first recognize that a chip like the UNISOC T606 It doesn’t look very appealing on paper. However, we have already seen that phones like the Realme C35 with a UNISOC T616 move much better than expected. Going back to the T606, let’s say it’s an 8-core chip, with a clock frequency of 1.60 GHz and a 650 MHz Mail-G57 MP1 GPU.
As for memories, the version that is now launched offers 4 GB of RAM memory and a unique internal storage configuration of 128 GB UFS 2.2 type. Internal memory which, by the way, is expandable via microSD card.
When it comes to battery life, expect a lot from this ZTE, given that it comes with a 6000mAh battery. However, and as expected given its autonomy, its “fast charge” is not so fast, having the possibility of using adapters up to 22.5W which seem insufficient compared to what other manufacturers give.
It should be noted, and also in a very negative way, that this device brings a software from two years ago like Android 11. And that Android 12 is only installed on 1 in 10 mobiles, shouldn’t be an excuse considering that it’s been almost a year since the launch of this Android 12 and Android 13 is already at our doors.
ZTE Blade V40 Vita Versions and Prices
This device, at least for now, has only been launched in Malaysia. It’s not confirmed launch in other markets at the moment and therefore we do not know if it will arrive in Europe and in which versions it will. However, we can get an idea by looking at the unique version that was launched in the aforementioned territory, for which this configuration is offered:
