Krafton has prepared the next major update for the battle royale long-running PUBG: Battlegrounds. We tell you here what you can expect in the new version 18.1.
In the coming week, Krafton will release the major update to version 18.1 for PUBG: Battlegrounds. It starts on June 8th on the PC, before the console versions will follow on June 16th.
The patch also brings you the new ranked season, more heal ing items in Erangel and Miramar, and the original version of Sanhok in Team Deathmatch mode.
From the official side, the most important features of the new update are stated as follows:
- Rankings – Season 18: Ranked Season 17 is coming to an end and players should remember to claim their rewards based on their last rank in Season 17 as Update 18.1 brings a new Ranked Season for players. With the launch of the new ladder, Squad – FPP will no longer be available on the console ladder in the NA and EU regions due to the queue not having enough players to sustain it.
- Balancing item spawns: Following feedback reports of hard-to-find healing items in Erangel and Miramar normal matches, the team noticed that the spawn rate of healing items in Erangel normal matches has decreased slightly due to higher weapon and attachment spawn rates. In normal matches in Miramar there was no decrease in the spawn rate of healing items, but the game dynamics became significantly more aggressive due to the higher probability of finding weapons and attachments, which naturally increased the demand for healing items. To accommodate these changes, total item counts and spawn rates will be increased when update 18.1 goes live. For the full breakdown of item spawning changes, see the patch notes.
- The original Sanhok map returns to TDM: The original Sanhok map is back in rotation for TDM, along with updated map pick quotas for Update 18.1. The card selection odds and locations are as follows:
- Card Pick Odds – Taego: 40%, Sanhok: 20%, Erangel: 16%, Vikendi: 16%, Miramar: 8%
- cards – Taego: Palace / Field / Mountain / Shipyard / Market, Sanhok: Paradise Resort / Docks, Erangel: Stalber / Sosnovka, Vikendi: Peshkova / Podvosto, Miramar: Campomilitar
The new version 17.2 of PUBG: Battlegrounds sat 1v1 arena in training mode is available on all supported platforms starting today.
