We want to introduce you to the debut title from Retro Forge Games, an independent studio based in Madrid, Spain. Souldiers is a game that blends metroidvania exploration, souls-like combat, RPG customization, and platformer precision with beautiful pixel art reminiscent of the golden age of 16-bit.

In Souldiers we can control scouts, conjurers and archers who fight for the freedom of Terragaya, a mystical land on the border between life and death. Each class has its own unique attacks along with different stats for agility, offense, defense, and health. They can also be further customized through a skill tree.
Although they have very different tones and settings, this title reminded us of Blasphemous, whose review you can read here. Both are Spanish indie games that combine the metroidvania and soulslike genres with striking pixel art.
