Good news for all fighting game lovers, Street Fighter 6 is coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2023. The biggest and most popular saga in the 2D fighting genre returns to Microsoft consoles after its previous installment, SFV, will remain exclusively on PS4.
The announcement, which took place during tonight’s State of Play, is great news for Xbox fans who will be able to play with it again. Ryu, Chun Li and Company. Its arrival date, still unconfirmed, is supposed to be in February 2023, like all titles in the saga since Street Fighter 2.
Street Fighter 6 promises to be a reimagining of the fighting genrewith a system that encourages creativity, dynamic art direction and new game modes.

In the Official page of the game, we can find a lot of information about its new playable mechanics. One of its main innovations is the Drive meter, a bar that fills automatically and will allow us to improve certain movements but which can expose us if we abuse it. We will also have two types of control systems, a classic and a more simplified, intended for newcomers to the game.
So far, 4 characters have been confirmed: Luke, Ryu, Chun Li and Jamie. In addition to having live commentary for our games, with Aru (Japanese) and Vicious (in English) as official commentators for Street Fighter 6. They were also featured 3 game modes: Fighting Ground (1 against 1), World Tour (story mode) and Battle Hub. This last mode is the lobby through which we were able to see Luke wandering around the neighborhood in the purest NBA 2K style, we will have to wait a little longer for more news on this subject.
