Believe it or not, it has been 2 years since a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was announced by Ubisoft. Although the game has been officially confirmed for a release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, fans have spotted some listings for an unannounced Nintendo Switch version in the past. Last month, Ubisoft announced that the game would no longer be developed by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai. Ubisoft Montreal would be taking over the game’s development
Unfortunately, the change in development teams has resulted in some bad news for the game’s future. Ubisoft has confirmed to IGN that “we are no longer targeting a FY23 release anymore and the game has been de-listed. If players wish to cancel their pre-order they are invited to contact their retailer. They will be updated on the project as the development is moving along”. It isn’t cancelled, but fans will have to wait a while longer before they can play it.
