Pokémon's new referral app, Pokémon Home, is now available for download on Switch and mobile devices. We think it's already occupied by thousands of Pokémon as players enter for the first time today, but it also contains … Well, Other.
As seen by Kotaku, opening the mobile APK APK opens a folder containing six GIFs. You will notice that five of these GIFs are Pikachu's – totally understandable and, in fact, enjoyable – but one is definitely not.
So, what secret is the GIF sitting next to Pikachu? Is the cute little Sobble using Gun's attack on water, perhaps? Maybe an animation that explains how to use one of the app functions? Nope.
Now, your guess is as good as ours why this is sitting in Pokémon Home files. We would imagine that it might have been put there to test whether GIFs were active during development and then not removed, but perhaps someone in the group really wanted to be part of the final product?
