Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is bound to bring some dormant franchises back into the limelight, though hankfully we have had a number of new and remastered Crash Bandicoot games during the last few years with the excellent Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing and Crash Bandicoot 4. During the latest episode of Windows Central Gaming’s Xbox Chaturdays podcast some of the team mentioned that the next Crash Bandicoot game being developed at Toys for Bob will be showcased on 12th June at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. The Windows Central team weren’t exactly sure what the new Crash game will be called, but it was mentioned that it will be some sort of multiplayer game with Crash Bandicoot and friends. Fingers are crossed that the Crash Bandicoot franchise will continue to be a multiplatform affair, rather than an Xbox exclusive.
